Cookies
This page explains cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar technologies used by CoachPrep.
1. What we mean by cookies
When we say "cookies" here, we mean browser cookies, local storage, session storage, and similar technologies that remember information on your device.
2. Strictly necessary storage
Some storage is used so the site works properly. CoachPrep practice tools may store in-progress sessions, answer history, seen questions, flagged questions, timer state, and theme preference so a refresh does not force you to start over.
3. Functional storage
We use browser storage to improve continuity across visits. This can include light/dark mode preference, current study session state, local UI settings, and consent preferences stored as coachprep-consent-v1.
4. Third-party cookies
Hosting, authentication, feedback processing, email, payment checkout, or other infrastructure providers may use their own cookies or similar identifiers. Those technologies are governed by the third party's policies.
5. Analytics and advertising
CoachPrep uses two optional first-party categories. Analytics records basic product events such as page views, CTA clicks, sign-in and checkout events, study-tool engagement, route/device metadata, and coarse location metadata. Diagnostics records product behavior needed to debug confusing flows, such as routes, clicks, scrolls, viewport size, visibility, heartbeat, and redacted input or change interactions.
When enabled, analytics may store an anonymous analytics ID in local storage. Diagnostics may store a temporary diagnostics session ID in session storage. Diagnostics do not intentionally store typed answers, email addresses, payment details, or other private-looking text. CoachPrep does not use advertising, retargeting, social tracking, or sale/share cookies.
6. How to manage cookies
You can accept all optional storage in the cookie banner, or reopen Cookie settings later to manage analytics and diagnostics separately. Browser controls including Global Privacy Control are honored where supported. You can also control or delete cookies and site storage in your browser settings. Clearing site data may remove saved practice sessions, flags, theme settings, consent settings, and other local preferences.
7. Questions
Cookie questions: coachprep@trey.coach or automated phone support at +1 855-302-7265. Calls are recorded and transcribed after an announcement.
